Mr. Uchida had worked at CAFÉ DE L’AMBRE, and every time I visited, I imagined that it would be incredible if he could open his own coffee shop one day. Six years later, I heard that Mr. Uchida had opened a coffee shop called kauhi-dou (かうひい堂) in the Moji port area in the northern Fukuoka Prefecture. When I heard the news, I was thrilled to finally visit his long-cherished dream of a coffee shop.
We had a most enjoyable conversation about Mr. Ichiro Sekiguchi, the founder of CAFÉ DE L’AMBRE. It was a truly delightful experience.
Needless to say, he has continued to use his L'AMBRE Coffee Pot with great care and enthusiasm!
